The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure with bovine albumin as the standard. To ensure that the product titer falls within the required range, antibody titer is standardized by microtiter plate ELISA with human kappa Fab. The product is tested for purity and specificity at final concentration by immunoelectrophoresis.
Preparation Method
Antibody and highly purified HRP (Rz>3.0) are conjugated under defined conditions to obtain optimally labeled product. Conjugated protein is purified by salt fractionation. The product is dialyzed into 0.02M sodium phosphate, 0.14M sodium chloride, pH 7.3, adjusted to standard titer, filtered through a 0.22 µm filter, vialed and lyophilized.
Applications
Peroxidase-Conjugated Goat IgG Fraction To Human Kappa Chain (Bound) is suitable for use as a reagent in enzyme immunoassays (EIA), cell and immunostaining of acetone-fixed frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, cell and tissue labeling (for electron microscopy), and blot immunostaining.
Product Description
Peroxidase-Conjugated Goat IgG Fraction To Human Kappa Chain (Bound) is the lyophilized powder of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated goat IgG fraction to human kappa light chain (bound) and buffer salts.
Typical Working Concentration
Dilution Recommended: 1:500 - 1:4,000 for Tissue Staining; 1:1,000 - 1:8,000 for Immuno Blotting; 1:2,000 - 1:16,000 for ELISA/FIA

Isotype
Polyclonal IgG
Species Reactivity
It shows reactivity to human kappa Fab; cross-reactivity to other species may exist. Because the product is directed against the kappa chains in Fab, some antibodies are expected to bind light chain sites common to all immunoglobulins.
Uniport Number
IGKC_HUMAN (P01834)
Format
Lyophilized F(ab´)2
NOTES
No trace of albumin is detected. Antibody activity to free kappa light chains may be present. Antibody activity to human lambda Fab, free lambda light chains, or non-immunoglobulin serum proteins is not present.
Specificity
Kappa chains polyclonal antibody recognises human kappa light chains. Kappa chains polyclonal antibody has been cross absorbed against pooled human myeloma proteins with lambda light chains.
Solubility
Reconstitution: Reconstitute product with 2.0 mL of deionized or distilled water. Gentle swirling may be used to speed rehydration. Do not add sodium azide. Avoid vigorous shaking of the reconstituted material.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized product at 2-8 °C. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze reconstituted product at -20 °C or lower.
Certifications
The antibody is predominantly goat IgG.
