FastPrep® DNA, RNA & Protein Extraction & Purification Kits
Versatile DNA, RNA & protein extraction and purification kits that deliver consistent, high yields of DNA, RNA, and proteins - ready to use for any downstream application. From genomic DNA, to total RNA, to Protein and other repetition small molecule isolation, yields and processing times are greatly enhanced through the use of the FastPrep™ Instruments, Adapters, and Lysing Matrix Tubes.
Rapid and reproducible sample lysis and purification process.
FastDNA™ Kits quickly and efficiently isolates genomic DNA from a wide variety of sources. Designed for use with FastPrep® Instruments, plant and animal, tissues, bacteria, algae, fungi and many other samples are easily lysed within 40 seconds. Kits include optimized Lysing Matrix tubes. Also included are 3 different chaotropic buffers for the homogenization of a wide variety of sample types. Following lysis, samples are centrifuged to pellet debris and lysing matrix. DNA is purified from the supernatant with a silica-based GeneClean® procedure. Eluted DNA is ready for digestion, electrophoresis, PCR and any other desired application.
The FastRNA™ SPIN Kits quickly and efficiently isolates high-quality, total RNA from bacterial cell culture, yeast strains, fungi and algae in approximately 15 minutes using a specialized Lysing Matrix for cell lysis and SPIN columns for the purification process.
FastRNA™ Pro Kits use the traditional RNApro™ Solution to efficiently inactivate cellular RNases during cell lysis, thus preventing RNA degradation. The RNA is purified and isolated by chloroform extraction and ethanol precipitation. Both kit formats utilize FastPrep® homogenization, and the purified RNA is ready for downstream applications, including RT-PCR and northern analysis.
The FastProtein™ Matrices used in conjunction with the FastPrep™ instrument offer the fastest way to release expressed proteins from bacteria and yeast. Save valuable time by reducing sample lysis time to seconds! Total proteins isolated with the FastProtein™ Matrices are native and can be used for a variety of applications including SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, immunoprecipitation, gel mobility shift assays, and enzyme activity analysis.
